Mr. Willson is a specialist in risk management; he has more than 40 years of experience in the financial services industry and has held various management positions with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), most recently the general manager of risk management and a director of CIBC Asia. He was responsible for managing CIBC's loan portfolio in Asia. He was also a director of CEF, a company formed by Cheung Kong Holdings Ltd. and CIBC. Mr. Willson lived in Asia for a number of years and gained extensive practical experience and understanding of business cultures and capital markets in Asia as well as in North America.
